When a person is termed to be a Manglik?

 

As per the recent astrological texts a person is said to be Manglik if the planet Mars is posited in the 2nd / 12th / 4th / 7th / 8th house from Moon.

This has been further extended to the ascendant too.

Now, there are two types of Mangliks, one from the Ascendant and the other from the Moon.

If it is just from one of them, then the native is known to be half Manglik and if from both then he is said to be full Manglik.

I personally have not read any classical text mentioning this and hence do not believe in the hype created around this subject.

The strength of Mars is required for a person to face this world of uncertainties. So being a manglik is to have the strength to survive.

 

What part of life does Angarak Yoga in the 9th house of Virgo impact for a person?

If Mars has given rise to a Raja yoga in the 9th house of a native, then there are different ways to determine the timing of the Yoga giving fruits.

Firstly, when a slow moving planets like Jupiter transits over the yoga the yoga gets triggered and will give beneficial results.

Secondly the native will realize fruits in the planetary period of Mars.

Thirdly the 9th house falls in about the age of 60 and taking an average life span of a person to be between 70–80 years.

Being the 4th and 11th lord the placement of Mars in the 9th in the sign of Virgo will give mixed results. But, mostly positive (due to the quadrant lord in the trine).

Is it true that Mars Maha dasha leads to the downfall of a native's career when he is an Aquarius ascendant and Mars is in the 12th house?

 

Mars is the 3rd and the 10th lord for Aquarius ascendant. When it is placed in the 12th house from the ascendant (in the sign of Capricorn) Mars gets exalted and is supposed to be rendered strong.

Assuming all other planetary positions are not deterrent to the placement of Mars and are not malefically aspecting Mars, we can analyse the positive results that Mars has in store for the native.

If Mars is malefically influenced by any planet like for example Rahu/Ketu, then Mars will lose its benefic powers and will give panic and stress.

If beneficially posited (without malefic influence) then the native may change his line of job as soon as he enters into this Maha dasha.

There might be different reasons depending on situations, but the main reason would be the native himself. Mars motivates the native to take up challenges and will get bored in routine jobs.

In some cases, when the native does not get promotions or other monetary benefit from the job, will go through depression which will ultimately result in arguments with the boss/higher up and finally will quit/lose his job.

But, Mars is a fighter and will never let the native stay complacent. It will motivate the native every minute to get ahead in life and never will lose hope.

In this position of Mars as per the query, the native will get back into practical life very soon. The main mantra here is to keep calm and patient.   

               

What if both partners have Mars in the 7th house of Lagna chart and Manglik? Does it predict divorce?

This is a misconception which has spread all over India and is causing a lot of distress to both the genders.

Mars in the 7th will add strength to the chart by making the native strong enough to handle partnerships, business, etc.

The placement of the 7th lord has to be analysed to understand the actual strength of the marriage. The aspect of planets over the 7th house also has to be verified in detail.

The D9 chart has to be read and then of course both the charts have to be matched to understand their compatibility.

Just with Mars being posited in the 7th from Ascendant or from Moon does not indicate marital discord or divorce.

In actual, Mars and Venus are considered planets which motivate romance and active married life.

So, it is a myth that a person with a 7th Mars is a Manglik.

What are the pros and cons of having “Mars in the 12th house”?

The 12th house which is not given much due importance signifies the realization of this creation through one’s senses. It’s like relishing food (having good taste buds), sensitivity to touch and so on.

The more the benefics in the 12th the more the satwik these senses will become.

The more the malefic the more the Tamasic they become.

It’s when Venus the planet which represents comfort, luxury is posited in the 12th that a person will get into Rajasik practices or will live a life like a king (materialistically anyhow).

Satwa, Rajas and Tamas are the three Gunas (characters).

Satwa makes a person Pious, Rajas makes a person desirous and Tamas makes a person indulge into materialistic pleasure obsessively.

Mars in this house will make the person desirous of the need to satisfy the sensuality, until and unless Mars is retrograde or is aspected by a benefic.

The Pro is that Mars will give the physical strength to the person and hence the native will be sort of athletic. Even in old age the person will be handsome and physically fit.

The Con is the Mars is too aggressive and hence sometimes the native will lose his self-control over his physical needs.

There are two karakas (signifiers) of the 12th house, one as discussed above is Venus and the other being Ketu.

Ketu in the 12th will make the native realize the Maya (illusion) of materialistic lust and will not let the native get caught into its maze.

Hence Ketu (not afflicted) in the 12th will give rise to a strong yoga for self-realization and hence Moksh (another major factor of the 12th house).

 

What is the significance of Mars in the 12th house for Capricorn Ascendant?

For Capricorn ascendant Mars is the 4th and the 11th lord and is considered a prime malefics by many.

I have a different opinion. Mars gets exalted in this sign and hence there is a connection between the sign and the planet Mars. Hence I consider Mars to give mixed results depending on its placement and association.

In this case Mars is placed in the 12th house (Sign of Sagittarius).

This placement might give abroad settlement, if the ascendant lord is strong and Mars is aspected by benefic planets like Venus or Jupiter (the 12th lord).

 

This placement indicates that you spend a lot of money on gadgets and other merchandise of style and fashion.
